If I had to describe White Horse Winery with a single word, it would be inviting. The second we arrived we were greeted by White Horse’s official mascot Macie, a happy black lab with a tail that doesn’t quit. That sentiment was echoed by the staff, all eager to ensure that we enjoyed
our visit. The centerpiece of White Horse’s tasting room is a large, rectangular bar that implores you to sip and stay awhile. Dry wines rule the roost here but their Gewurztraminer is a dream come true for us sweet wine lovers.
Grab a bottle and step outside on the deck where live music and umbrella-covered high top tables await. Or head down to the shady picnic area where kids can enjoy bean bag tosses and the doggies can frolic with Macie. Be sure to indulge in one of White Horse’s fantastic cheese platters – we especially loved the stuffed peppers – or if you’re looking for something more substantial, then check out their Food Truck Fridays. Live music, food trucks and superb wine…what more can you ask for?
